DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-08
APKPorts lists fan-made Android ports of console and PC games. We respect the intellectual property rights of game developers, publishers, and other rights holders, and we respond to valid takedown requests by removing or disabling access to the reported listing.
What a valid notice needs to include
To help us act quickly, please include all of the following (this mirrors the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) — the U.S. DMCA — but we'll act on clearly-identified, good-faith requests regardless of jurisdiction):
- Your physical or electronic signature, and your relationship to the copyright owner (owner, or authorized agent).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed (title, and where an official version can be found, if applicable).
- Identification of the material you want removed — specifically, the
/game/<slug>URL(s) on APKPorts. - Contact information: name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
What happens after we receive a notice
Once we confirm a notice is complete, the listing is hidden from the public site — it no longer appears in search, browsing, or direct links, and the download link is disabled — while we keep the underlying record for our own reference. We don't publicly disclose who filed a request.
Counter-notice
If your listing was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including your contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
Repeat infringement
Listings tied to accounts or sources with a pattern of valid, repeated takedown requests will be permanently removed rather than reviewed case-by-case.
